PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

hillsmp.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the title "Hill SMP" and borrows the identity of a legitimate service to win visitors' trust. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-11. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content. The page title reads like a community or game-server name, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the branding, wording and layout of a site people already trust so that a visitor stops questioning what they are asked to do. Under the "Hill SMP" name, the page invites interaction such as signing in, registering or following a call to action. Whatever is typed into its forms goes to the operators rather than to the real service. Victims typically lose account credentials, and anyone who sends payments or crypto at the page's request loses those funds as well.

Evidence

VirusTotal shows 5 of 92 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-10-16: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, URLQuery and VIPRE. That is a low count, so most browser and antivirus protections will not yet warn visitors, and the PhishDestroy listing is currently the main blocklist entry. The domain also appears in 34 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows that other researchers have been tracking it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2025-08-05, more than a year before PhishDestroy detected it. An aged domain like this can pass reputation filters that are designed to catch freshly registered sites. Traffic is fronted by Cloudflare's network on an address geolocated to Canada, so the origin server is not exposed. Its Google Trust Services certificate gives the page a padlock, but that only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is honest.

What to do

If you entered a password on hillsmp.com, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that shares it. Enable two-factor authentication and check those accounts for logins or changes you did not make. If you sent money or crypto through the page, gather your transaction details and report them to your payment provider or exchange without delay. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies, add it to phishing filters, and report it to Namecheap and Cloudflare so it can be taken down while it remains live.
