fortgon.com calls itself "Fortnite Rank & Locker Value Checker – Free Tool | Fortgon". It uses the Fortnite name to draw in players who want to know what their skins and cosmetics are worth. PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing and first flagged it on 2026-09-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving live content.
How the scam works
Locker value checkers lure players with a simple promise: see your rank and the value of your cosmetics for free. Getting the result usually requires signing in with your game account or handing over login details, which go straight to whoever runs the page. With that access, an attacker can take over the account, spend its balance, resell it with its cosmetics, or try the same password on other services. The page presents itself as a harmless free tool, while PhishDestroy classifies it as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-09-27, VirusTotal showed 6 of 91 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a small share, so many browsers and filters will not warn visitors yet. Spamhaus separately lists the domain in its DBL as spam. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-06-04 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., about three and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap gave the operator time to build traffic before being flagged. The site is hosted in the United Kingdom on the UFO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED network. It has a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is trustworthy.
What to do
If you signed in or typed account details on this site, change your game account password right away from the official site or app, and use a password you have never used anywhere else. Turn on two-factor authentication, sign out all other sessions, and check your purchase history and linked email for changes you did not make. If you reused that password elsewhere, change it on those services too, starting with your email. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, use the Spamhaus DBL listing in mail filtering, and warn younger players and gaming communities about "free" value-checker tools.
