Overview

domewex.com presents itself as "Elon Musk's Official Crypto Casino Powered by Blockchain". Its lure is a celebrity endorsement that does not exist. The site targets cryptocurrency holders who might trust a casino tied to Musk's name. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-05, and the page was still online and serving its casino content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The site runs on the Gambler Scam kit, a template for fake online casinos that are typically promoted with celebrity names and promo codes. Victims usually see a generous bonus or a winning balance on their account. When they try to cash out, they are told to make a crypto deposit first to "verify" or "activate" the withdrawal. That deposit goes straight to the operators, and the displayed winnings never existed. Every follow-up fee or top-up is lost the same way.

Evidence

On 2026-09-13, 12 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky, which is solid agreement for a scam page rather than malware. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and tagged the page as a generic crypto scam. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. Besides PhishDestroy, it is blocked by the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, and four AlienVault OTX pulses reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-02 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com, about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was held or promoted for a while before it drew wider attention. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with the edge address geolocated to Canada, so the true origin server is hidden. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about legitimacy.

What to do

Do not deposit anything to unlock a bonus, winnings or a withdrawal on domewex.com. No payment will release funds, and further "fees" only add to the loss. If you already sent crypto, stop all contact and keep transaction hashes and screenshots. Report the receiving addresses to your exchange and local authorities. Change any password you reused on the site and watch for follow-up "recovery" offers, which are a common second scam. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for lookalike casino domains that use celebrity branding.
