PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

dezentracore.com presents itself as "DezentraCore", a crypto platform name built to sound like a legitimate decentralized service. Its targets are crypto holders and people looking for somewhere to invest or trade. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the domain still responded but no longer served its phishing content, so it could be switched back on at any time.

How the scam works

Sites like this copy the look and language of a crypto service closely enough that visitors trust it with their assets. Victims are typically asked to connect a wallet, approve a transaction, type in a recovery phrase, or deposit funds into an account they will never be able to withdraw from. A wallet approval or a seed phrase gives the operators direct control over the victim's tokens, and deposits go straight to them. urlscan.io labelled the page as a crypto scam, which fits this pattern.

Evidence

Eight of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-13: BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and URLQuery. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain is on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's, so wallet-focused defenders reached the same conclusion on their own. It also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-04-14 through Name SRS AB, almost six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was held in reserve or used quietly before being flagged. Traffic passes through Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a browser padlock, and the padlock says nothing about whether the operator is honest.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to DezentraCore, revoke every token approval you granted and move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move everything out immediately. Do not send any further "fees" or deposits to unlock funds you already sent. Report any losses to your local authorities. Security teams should block dezentracore.com at the DNS and proxy level and watch for its content coming back online.
