How the scam works
Bridge-themed impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a real service so visitors trust it enough to act. The usual next step is a prompt to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or send funds to start a transfer. Whatever the victim sends or authorizes goes to the operators, and the promised tokens on the other chain never arrive. Because bridge transactions are irreversible and often involve large sums, a single interaction can empty a wallet.
Evidence
On 2026-09-23, 8 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Webroot. Those vendors use independent detection methods, so their agreement carries weight even though most engines have not caught up. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist.
