PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bikos.shop poses as BikesOnline, the online bicycle retailer, under the page title "Premium Bicycles Delivered | Ride More for Less | BikesOnline US". It targets US shoppers looking for a discounted bike. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its storefront.

How the scam works

Impersonation shops like this copy a real retailer's name and branding, then list bicycles well below normal prices to rush buyers into checkout. The "Ride More for Less" pitch is the hook. Victims who order typically lose the purchase price, and the bike never ships. They also hand over their name, delivery address, phone number and card details, which can be reused for fraud or sold. urlscan.io specifically tagged this page as a fake shop, which fits that pattern.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the site malicious and flagged it as a fake shop. On VirusTotal, only 3 of 92 engines flag it: CRDF, Gridinsoft and Netcraft. That low count is common for freshly built storefronts and does not mean the site is safe. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-07-26, about twelve weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. A cheap .shop name that resembles the brand but is not its official domain is typical for short-lived fake stores. It resolves to 188.244.119.46, on a Malakmadze Web LLC network registered in Georgia, while the server itself geolocates to the US. The free Let's Encrypt certificate only encrypts the connection. The padlock says nothing about who runs the shop.

What to do

If you paid on bikos.shop, contact your card issuer or bank now. Report the charge as fraud, ask for a chargeback and request a replacement card. Watch your statements for further unauthorized charges, and expect phishing calls, texts or emails that use the name and address you entered. Be wary of follow-up messages about shipping fees or customs charges for the order. Buy BikesOnline products only by typing the retailer's known address yourself. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, and report it to the registrar and hosting network as a brand-impersonation fake shop.
