Its page title reads "Ben Parkes Running! | Ben Parkes Running", which is meant to persuade runners and followers of the brand that they are buying from an official store. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-13. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront.
How the scam works
Shops like this copy a familiar brand's look and offer running gear or merchandise at prices that seem like a good deal. The buyer pays by card or another method at checkout. Then nothing arrives, or a cheap item unrelated to the order shows up. Victims lose the money they paid and the card and address details they typed into checkout, and those details can be reused for further fraud.
Evidence
On 2026-10-17, 6 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a minority of engines, but the vendors that flagged it include several well-known web-filtering providers. urlscan.io rated the site malicious and specifically labelled it a fake shop. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-03-21, almost seven months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the shop may have been trading quietly for some time. It is hosted on the Malakmadze Web LLC network in Georgia, far from the brand it imitates. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the seller is genuine.
What to do
If you ordered from benparkes.shop, contact your bank or card issuer now, report the transaction as fraud and ask for a chargeback. Request a replacement card if you entered your card details.
