PhishDestroy threat report
aricettoug.net is an impersonation phishing site that poses as a legitimate service to win a visitor's trust. Its presence on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet users as the main target. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-11, and it was still online with its phishing content live on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and flow of a known brand so the visitor believes they are on the real site. The page title is simply the domain name and gives no brand away, but the underlying scheme is the same. The victim is steered into an action that hands control to the operator, such as typing a seed phrase, entering login details, or connecting a wallet and approving a request. Once that happens, attackers can take over the account or move the wallet's assets, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.
Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-12: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That count is modest, so many security products will not yet warn visitors. Stronger confirmation comes from elsewhere. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, MetaMask and SEAL block it alongside PhishDestroy, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-09-02, 39 days before PhishDestroy caught it. That gap suggests it was set up in advance and kept ready rather than used straight away. The site is hosted on HIVELOCITY, Inc. in the US and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. The padlock in the browser therefore only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site can be trusted.
If you entered a seed phrase or private key here, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a clean device and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, revoke the approvals granted around that time with a token-approval checker. If you typed a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA. Defenders should block aricettoug.net at the DNS and proxy level, add it to mail and web filters, and search logs for any users who visited it.
