angerinstruct.com is an impersonation phishing site whose page is titled simply "Download". It presents itself as a place to fetch software, the kind of lure that targets people hunting for a wallet app or crypto tool outside official channels. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-04. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages with a "Download" title borrow the look of a trusted project so visitors believe they have reached the official installer. Schemes like this typically end one of two ways. The victim runs a tampered file that can steal saved passwords, browser sessions and wallet data, or the victim is steered into typing logins or recovery phrases into a form the operators control. Either path can hand over accounts and the crypto behind them, often without any obvious sign at the moment it happens.
Evidence
Seven of 91 engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain in a check on 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, BitDefender, ESET, G-Data, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it includes established antivirus vendors alongside predictive services that specialise in catching new malicious domains early. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-27, about five weeks before PhishDestroy detected it, a short lifespan typical of disposable phishing domains. It was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and resolves to Cloudflare's network (AS13335) in the US. Because that network sits in front of the real server, the true origin host is not visible from outside.
What to do
If you downloaded anything from angerinstruct.com, do not open it, and delete it. If you already ran the file, treat the device as compromised. From a separate clean device, change your passwords and email credentials, sign out of active sessions and re-enroll your 2FA. If a crypto wallet lived on the affected machine or you typed a recovery phrase anywhere, move your funds to a new wallet created on clean hardware. Defenders should block the domain, search proxy and DNS logs for visits since 2026-08-27, and check endpoints for files downloaded from it.
