PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

amgloaumfin.com presents itself as "Global Option Trade" and promises "investment solutions designed with elegance and finesse." PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at people looking for options or crypto trading returns. We first saw it on 2026-09-26. It was still online and serving its content when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Sites like this copy the look of a polished brokerage, with tiered investment plans, dashboards and testimonials, to make a made-up trading firm seem established. Victims sign up and deposit funds, often in cryptocurrency, then watch an account balance that appears to grow. When they try to withdraw, the site invents taxes, verification charges or "withdrawal fees" that must be paid first, and the money never comes back. urlscan.io tagged the page with its investment-scam brand label, which matches this pattern.

Evidence

On 2026-10-07, 15 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. That is a solid spread of independent vendors for a site this new. urlscan.io rated the page malicious. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam, and it appears in six AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers are tracking it too.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-12 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, roughly four and a half months before PhishDestroy flagged it. That gap suggests a site that had time to collect victims before it drew attention. It is hosted in the US on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the business is legitimate.

What to do

Do not deposit any more money, and refuse to pay any fee, tax or "unlock" charge the site demands before a withdrawal. Those payments only increase the loss. Save screenshots, transaction IDs and chat logs, then report the theft to your bank or card issuer, the exchange you sent crypto from, and your national fraud authority. If you reused your password on this site, change it everywhere you used it, and expect follow-up "recovery service" offers, which are a common second scam. Defenders should block the domain and the hosting IP at DNS and proxy level and add the domain to their mail and web filtering.
