PhishDestroy threat report
americandiscoverygroup.com presents itself as American Discovery Group under the slogan "WE FIND WHAT OTHERS OVERLOOK." PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page. Its listing on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto users as the audience. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19, and the site was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation sites borrow the name and polish of a credible-sounding firm to win trust before asking for something valuable. That can be account logins, identity documents, wallet details, or an upfront payment for a promised service. The page title describes an investigative or discovery business, which is a different framing from the phishing classification. Even so, the polished slogan is the kind of hook these pages use to make a visitor feel they have found a capable, legitimate company. Whatever a victim submits or pays goes straight to the operators.
Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-29: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That count is modest but comes from unrelated vendors reaching the same verdict. MetaMask and SEAL, both focused on crypto threats, block it alongside PhishDestroy. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently.
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-09-14 and caught by PhishDestroy only five days later. That short gap fits a site built for a quick campaign rather than an established business. It is hosted on Namecheap's own network in the United States. It uses a certificate from SSL.com, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the operator can be trusted.
If you paid American Discovery Group through this site, contact your bank or payment provider immediately to dispute the charge. Do not send any further fees, however they are justified. If you entered passwords, change them everywhere they were reused and turn on two-factor authentication. If you uploaded ID documents, watch for identity misuse. If you shared a seed phrase or private key, move your funds to a new wallet right away. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting address, and report it to the registrar and host while it remains live.
