PhishDestroy threat report
aevosprotocol.net is an impersonation phishing page that billed itself as Aevos, a Convergence Protocol offering AI-powered trading. It targeted crypto traders drawn to automated yield and trading-bot pitches. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-28. The site has been offline since 2026-09-30, and on 2026-10-19 its domain no longer resolved in DNS.
The page title, Aevos — Convergence Protocol | AI-Powered Trading, shows the lure: a polished protocol brand promising that an AI engine will trade on the visitor's behalf. Pages built this way usually push the victim to connect a wallet and sign transactions, or to deposit crypto into a trading account or bot. Those signatures and deposits hand funds or token permissions to the operators. On-chain transfers cannot be reversed, so whatever is sent or approved is effectively lost.
Independent detection was essentially nonexistent. VirusTotal returned 0 detections out of 91 engines when checked on 2026-10-01, a day after the site had already gone dark, so scanners never got a meaningful look at the live page. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying the domain. It does appear in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers had linked it to malicious activity even though antivirus vendors had not.
The domain was registered through One.com A/S on 2026-09-21, just seven days before PhishDestroy caught it, and the site was offline two days after that. That short registration-to-takedown window fits a disposable domain built for a quick campaign. Traffic ran through Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada, which keeps the true origin server out of view. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page the padlock that visitors often mistake for a sign of legitimacy.
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any permissions you granted, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you entered a seed phrase. If you deposited funds to its trading account or bot, do not pay any follow-up unlock or withdrawal fee, because those requests are a common second stage of the same scam. Record transaction hashes and report them to your exchange and to local authorities. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike Aevos protocol domains promoting AI-powered trading.
