PhishDestroy threat report
aesthetic-licorice-00b850.netlify.app is an impersonation phishing page that poses as a "Mail Authentication" screen. It is built to look like a generic webmail sign-in rather than one named provider, so it can be aimed at almost anyone with an email account. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-11. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.
Victims usually arrive from an email or message claiming their mailbox needs re-verification, has a blocked delivery, or will be suspended. The "Mail Authentication" page then asks for the email address and password, and anything typed in goes to the operator. A stolen mailbox is worth more than the inbox itself. It lets the attacker reset passwords on exchanges, wallets and banking services tied to that address, read verification codes, and send convincing phishing from a trusted sender.
On 2026-09-20, 19 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the page. They included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai and Criminal IP, which is a broad spread of independent vendors for a single free-hosted page. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and matched the layout to a generic email login brand. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy and PhishFeed blocklists.
The page sits on a randomly named Netlify subdomain. A throwaway site like this can be deployed in minutes without registering a domain, and replaced quickly if taken down. It resolves to Amazon network space located in Germany, which is the platform's hosting rather than infrastructure the operator controls. The DigiCert certificate belongs to Netlify's shared hosting, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the page is legitimate.
If you entered your email password here, change it right away from your provider's real site or app. Also change it on any other account where you reused that password. Turn on two-factor authentication, sign out all other sessions, and check the mailbox for forwarding rules, filters or recovery details you did not add. Then review accounts that use this email for password resets, especially exchanges and wallets, for unexpected logins or change requests. Defenders should block the hostname, search mail logs for messages linking to it, and report the page to Netlify for removal.
