1inch-connect.org is a phishing site that impersonates 1inch, the decentralized exchange aggregator, and targets people who trade or swap tokens through DeFi wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-06, two days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online, with its content sitting behind a protective challenge layer.
How the scam works
The domain pairs the 1inch name with the word "connect", which plays on the wallet-connection step every DeFi user expects. Impersonation pages like this typically show a familiar-looking interface and push visitors to connect a wallet, approve a token allowance, sign a permit, or type in a recovery phrase. Any of these hands the operator control over the victim's funds, and the resulting transfers cannot be reversed. The page title currently reads "Attention Required! | Cloudflare", a challenge screen, while our classification is impersonation phishing aimed at 1inch users.
Evidence
Eight of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-14: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, PhishFort and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but PhishFort is a crypto-focused anti-phishing vendor, and the domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which are maintained specifically for wallet threats. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL under the phishing category. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, so other researchers have tracked it independently.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-04 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu and was caught within 48 hours. That short gap fits a campaign set up to go live quickly. The site sits behind Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, so the visible IP belongs to the proxy rather than the origin server. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services, which gives the padlock but says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances or permits it may have obtained, and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer everything out immediately. Always reach 1inch through a bookmarked official address rather than through search ads or links in messages. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, add it to mail and chat filters, and report it to Cloudflare and the registrar's abuse desk.
