PhishDestroy threat report
variacharge.paytrakr.com is an impersonation phishing page built around a billing-style name, with "charge" in the subdomain and a payment-tracker sound to the parent domain. That framing targets people expecting an invoice, a subscription charge or a payment confirmation. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-24. The site has been offline since 2026-09-26, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages of this kind copy the look of a legitimate service so a visitor trusts the form in front of them. A payment-themed lure usually works through a message about an unexpected charge or a pending payment. It then pushes the victim to sign in, dispute the charge or confirm card details, and whatever is typed goes straight to the operators. The page title showed only the hostname itself, giving no visible brand name. The likely losses are account credentials, card numbers and any personal details the form requested.
On 2026-09-25, a day after PhishDestroy flagged it, VirusTotal showed 14 of 91 engines marking the domain as malicious. The vendors included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and ADMINUSLabs. Several of these feed browser and endpoint protection, so many users would have been warned within days. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its own blocklist.
The parent domain was registered through NAMECHEAP INC on 2025-08-14, more than a year before this subdomain was caught serving phishing. That gap suggests the domain was held or reused rather than set up for a single quick campaign. The page was hosted at 2.59.170.20 on the WorldStream B.V. network in the Netherlands. It went dark about two days after detection.
If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the real service and anywhere else you reuse it, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you typed card details, call your bank to cancel the card and dispute any charges you don't recognize. Treat any follow-up email or call about a "charge" or "refund" as part of the same scam. Defenders should block the paytrakr.com domain and its subdomains, and search mail logs for messages that link to it. Check proxy and DNS logs for traffic to 2.59.170.20 around late September 2026 to find users who may have submitted data.

An estimated time describes an observation window. It does not prove a registrar action or the exact moment a site became unavailable.
Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
