How the scam works
Fake courier sites like this lure visitors with a tracking number, a "held" parcel or an attractive shipping quote, usually delivered by text, email or a marketplace chat. The site then asks for something to release or book the delivery, typically a customs charge, redelivery fee or insurance payment, along with a name, address, phone number and card or bank details. The victim loses the fee, and the payment and personal data collected can be reused for further fraud. No parcel ever moves, because the "WESTERN" service behind the page does not deliver anything.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several separate vendors reaching the same verdict on their own. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as spam, which suggests it is being pushed through unsolicited messages. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and it is on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-15 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown. PhishDestroy flagged it 19 days later, which is the short lifespan typical of throwaway scam domains. It resolves to 163.61.188.9 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network, which is registered in Bangladesh, while the address itself geolocates to the US. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock, which says nothing about whether the courier business behind it is real.
