PhishDestroy threat report
shivhmm.github.io is a GitHub Pages project site that PhishDestroy classifies as an impersonation phishing page posing as Spotify. It was aimed at Spotify listeners who could be lured into handing over their account access. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-07. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and on 2026-10-19 the root still served no content.
Spotify impersonation pages copy the look of the streaming service's sign-in or billing screens. Victims usually arrive through an email or message about a failed payment, a suspended account or a free Premium offer. Anything typed into the fake form goes to the operator, not to Spotify. That can be a password, and on billing-themed lures it can also be card details. The page title now reads "Site not found · GitHub Pages", which is GitHub's default for an empty or removed site, while our classification reflects the Spotify impersonation detected when the page was live.
urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified Spotify as the impersonated brand. On 2026-09-11, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, G-Data, CyRadar and alphaMountain.ai. That is a meaningful spread of independent security vendors for a short-lived page. The address is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The operator did not register a domain. The page was a subdomain of github.io, so the registrar is GitHub, Inc. Content was served through GitHub's Fastly-fronted network in the US at 185.199.108.153. Free hosting on a trusted developer platform gives a phishing page a familiar-looking address and a valid certificate at no cost. The site went dark four days after PhishDestroy first logged it.
If you entered your Spotify login on this page, change your Spotify password right away and use the option to sign out everywhere. Also change the password on any other service where you used the same one. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. Treat any message that led you there as phishing, and check your account for changed email addresses or family-plan members you don't recognize. Defenders should block this specific subdomain rather than all of github.io, hunt mail logs for links to it, and report any reappearance to GitHub.
