PhishDestroy threat report
prakharclone.netlify.app was a page on a Netlify subdomain built to look like Netflix, aimed at streaming subscribers who might take it for the real sign-in or account page. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. The site went offline on 2026-09-22 and still returned no content at its root when last checked on 2026-10-19.
The page carried the title "Netflix Clone", which is how it presented itself, while PhishDestroy classified it as an impersonation phishing page. Netflix lookalikes of this kind copy the familiar red-and-black login screen, then ask for an email and password and often a card number under the pretext of a failed payment or suspended membership. Anything typed in goes to the operator instead of Netflix. Victims lose control of their streaming account, and in some cases they also lose card details that can be reused for fraud. Free hosting subdomains let such clones go live quickly under a name that looks harmless.
On 2026-09-20, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, CyRadar and alphaMountain.ai. That count is moderate rather than overwhelming, but it comes from established vendors working independently. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically recognised Netflix branding on the page. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The site sat on Netlify's shared hosting platform as a free subdomain rather than on a domain registered by the operator. It was served from Amazon address space in Germany (63.176.8.218). Its DigiCert certificate is the platform's standard one, so the browser padlock only confirmed an encrypted connection to Netlify and said nothing about whether the page was genuinely Netflix. It stayed reachable for about eleven days after PhishDestroy first saw it.
If you entered your Netflix email and password on this page, change your Netflix password right away and sign out of all devices from your account settings. Change the password on any other service where you used the same one. If you supplied card details, contact your bank to block the card and review recent charges. Expect follow-up phishing emails that use your leaked address. Defenders should block the hostname and watch logs for past visits, especially any visits followed by form submissions, and should report similar Netflix clones on shared hosting platforms to the provider for removal.
