pengu-allocations.org is an impersonation phishing page built around the promise of a PENGU token "allocation." Its audience is holders and airdrop hunters hoping to claim tokens they believe they are owed. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-03. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still up and serving live content.
How the scam works
Fake allocation sites copy the look and wording of a real token distribution and tell visitors an amount is waiting for them. To claim it, the victim is asked to connect a wallet and approve a transaction or signature. That approval actually grants the operator permission to move the victim's tokens. Some variants ask for a seed phrase to "verify eligibility," which hands over the entire wallet. The page title is simply the bare domain, so the browser tab offers no hint of what the site claims to be.
Evidence
Wallet-security blocklists back this classification. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so users of those protections should already see a warning. On VirusTotal, 8 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-09: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, SOCRadar and Sophos. That is a minority of engines, so many scanners will not yet block it, but the vendors that do come from several independent sources. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2025-10-01 through WebNic.cc (Web Commerce Communications Limited), roughly a year before PhishDestroy detected it. A domain held that long before use can slip past filters that focus on newly registered names. It resolves to the Trellian Pty. Limited network, an Australian-registered provider, with the serving address located in the US. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it the padlock icon, which says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet or sign anything on this site. If you already approved a transaction there, use a token-approval checker to revoke every permission you granted, then move your remaining assets to a fresh address. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer the funds to a new wallet immediately. Only check PENGU distributions through the project's official channels. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and email filters.
