PhishDestroy threat report
netsfliz.netlify.app was a phishing page posing as Netflix, built to catch subscribers who expected a routine account or billing prompt. The subdomain is a deliberate misspelling of the brand, close enough to pass a quick glance in a text message or email. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-11. The site has been offline since 2026-09-22 and still served no content when last checked on 2026-10-19.
The page carried the title "Netflix" and copied the brand's look so a victim would believe they were signing in to their own account. Lures for this kind of page usually claim a failed payment, a suspended membership or a required verification step, then send the victim to a fake login form. Anything typed there goes straight to the operator. That typically means the Netflix email and password first, often followed by a card number, expiry date and security code. Stolen logins are resold or reused on other services where the same password works, and card details are used for fraudulent purchases.
On 2026-09-20, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai. That is a solid spread of independent vendors for a short-lived subdomain. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and recognised Netflix branding on the page, which matches our impersonation classification. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The operator did not register a domain at all. They used a free Netlify subdomain, which costs nothing and can be abandoned within days, and the roughly eleven days between first sighting and going offline fit that pattern. Traffic resolved to 35.157.26.135 on Amazon's AMAZON-02 network in Germany, which is Netlify's shared hosting. The DigiCert certificate belongs to the platform, so the browser padlock said nothing about who ran the page.
If you entered your Netflix password here, change it immediately. Also change it on any other account that shares the same password, and sign out all devices from Netflix's account settings. If you submitted card details, call your bank to cancel the card and dispute any charges you do not recognise. Treat follow-up messages claiming to be from Netflix with suspicion, and reach your account only by typing the address yourself. Defenders should block the hostname and look for other netlify.app subdomains that misspell Netflix.
