PhishDestroy threat report
kapitaalkade.com is classified by PhishDestroy as an impersonation phishing page. It presented itself as a trusted service to get visitors to hand over sensitive details, and its Dutch-sounding name, roughly "capital quay", points to a financial pretext. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, and the site went offline the next day, 2026-09-16. It was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages copy the look, wording and branding of a real company so a visitor believes they are on the genuine site. The victim is then asked to sign in, verify an account, or enter personal and payment information, and whatever they type goes straight to the operators. Stolen credentials are typically used to take over the real account or to push the victim into transfers that cannot be reversed. The page now returns the title "404 Not Found", while our classification reflects the impersonation content identified when the domain was flagged.
PhishDestroy's verdict is independently backed. On 2026-09-18, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. That is a solid spread of established vendors for a site that was live for only a short time. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers tracked it as well.
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2025-09-09, about a year before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap suggests the name was registered well in advance and held until it was put to use. The site was hosted on Namecheap, Inc. infrastructure in the United States, so registration and hosting sat with the same provider.
If you entered a password on this site, change it right away on the real service and on any other account that uses the same password, then turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and watch for unfamiliar charges. Do not send money or "verification" payments to anyone who contacts you about an account you reached through this page. Defenders should block kapitaalkade.com at DNS and the email gateway, and search logs for users who visited it around 2026-09-15 to 2026-09-16.
