hpcvip.com is a phishing site that presents itself under the title "IRENA", the name of the International Renewable Energy Agency. It borrows that name to look trustworthy to people who know the agency or are drawn in by its reputation. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-09. By 2026-10-19 its DNS no longer pointed to the phishing content, although the server behind it still responded.
How the scam works
The page relies on the name of a respected intergovernmental body rather than a crypto brand. Scams of this kind usually wrap a fake programme, membership tier or investment offer in the borrowed identity, and the "vip" in the domain fits that pattern. Visitors are asked to register, submit personal details or log in, and are often pushed to pay deposits or fees. Victims can lose their contact and identity details, any passwords they reuse elsewhere, and any money sent to the operators.

Independent detection is thin. On 2026-09-22, only 2 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it.
