home.faowox.com is an impersonation phishing page aimed at cryptocurrency users. It sits on a "home" subdomain, which makes it look like a site's main portal rather than a throwaway address. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-29. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the domain still answered but its DNS was inactive, so the phishing page was not serving content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look of a legitimate crypto service, such as an exchange, wallet or platform, closely enough that visitors trust what they see. The victim is then asked to sign in, connect a wallet, enter a recovery phrase or approve a transaction. Anything typed in goes straight to the operators. A signed approval or a leaked seed phrase lets them empty the wallet, and crypto transfers cannot be reversed. urlscan.io tagged the page as a crypto scam, which matches this pattern.
Evidence
Several independent sources back the classification. On 2026-10-01, 15 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category. The domain also appears on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The parent domain faowox.com was registered on 2026-06-04 through Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com. That is roughly four months before PhishDestroy detected it, a gap that suggests the domain was set aside for later use rather than registered on the day of the campaign. The site was hosted in Germany on the FEMO IT SOLUTIONS LIMITED network. Its certificate came from Let's Encrypt, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the site could be trusted.
What to do
If you entered a recovery phrase on this page, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining funds to a new wallet with a fresh seed right away. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, use a token-approval checker to revoke permissions you do not recognise. If you entered an exchange or account password, change it, turn on app-based 2FA and review recent withdrawals and API keys.
