How the scam works
Sites like this promise a free "mod menu" or unlocked version of a popular paid or competitive game. They then route visitors through download buttons, verification steps or sign-in prompts that benefit the operator rather than the player. Installing an APK from such a source means trusting an unknown file with whatever permissions it requests. Handing over account details at a fake verification step can cost you your game, Google or social accounts. The page title presents a game mod download, while we classify the site as an impersonation phishing page built on the HappyMod name.
Evidence
On 2026-10-15, VirusTotal showed 6 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Webroot.
