checkacc.cc is an impersonation phishing site whose name suggests an account verification check, a common lure for pushing users to re-enter credentials. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-14. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the site was still reported alive, but its DNS was inactive, so the phishing content may not currently load. The page title is simply "Loading" and names no brand, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look of a service the victim already trusts. A message or link claims the account needs checking, verifying or unlocking. A neutral "Loading" screen like this one is often shown before the fake login or verification form appears. Anything typed into that form, such as email, password, one-time codes or in some variants a wallet recovery phrase, goes straight to the operators, who then take over the account or empty it.
Evidence
VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-09-18, and 6 of 89 engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That count is modest, but the six vendors work independently of each other. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as a spam domain, which points to promotion through unsolicited messages. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-01 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., about six weeks before PhishDestroy caught it. That gap fits a domain set up in advance and then put into use for a campaign. It is hosted on IP 109.238.86.76 in the network of UFO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, located in GB. The free Let's Encrypt certificate gives the page a padlock icon, which tells visitors nothing about who runs it.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately on the real service and on any other account that shares it. Then reset two-factor authentication and review active sessions and recovery settings. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move the funds to a new wallet created on a clean device. Defenders should block the domain and IP 109.238.86.76, search mail and proxy logs for "account check" lures pointing to it, and alert users who clicked.
