PhishDestroy threat report
asset-account.org is an impersonation phishing site built to pass itself off as a legitimate account or asset-management service. Its listing on MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists places its intended victims among crypto holders. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-11, and it went offline the next day, 2026-09-12. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still dead and its content is blocked at the provider.
Impersonation phishing copies the look and wording of a trusted service so visitors believe they are on a real account portal. The domain name suggests a place to check or manage holdings. Once there, victims are pushed to log in, enter recovery phrases or private keys, or connect a wallet and approve transactions. Those details or approvals give the operator control of the account or wallet, and any funds taken this way are usually gone for good. The only page title we captured was a bare "Loading…", so the visible title does not name the brand being imitated.
On 2026-09-14, nine of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as malicious. They included the crypto-focused ChainPatrol, alongside alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Seclookup and SOCRadar. That count is moderate, but the vendors are independent of one another. Their verdicts agree with three blocklists: PhishDestroy, MetaMask's wallet phishing list and SEAL's. Being on MetaMask's list means users of that wallet are warned before the page loads.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-06 through Fewmoretaps OU, which trades as Trustname.com. PhishDestroy flagged it five days later, and it lasted only about a day after that. This short lifespan is typical of disposable phishing domains that are registered, used and dropped within days. The site sat behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which hides the real origin server. It used a free, automatically issued certificate from Google Trust Services, so the padlock icon proved nothing about the site being legitimate.
If you typed a seed phrase or private key into this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Move any remaining assets to a new wallet created from a fresh phrase. If you connected a wallet, use a token-approval tool to revoke any permissions granted around 2026-09-11 and 2026-09-12. If you entered an account password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA. Security teams should block the domain, search DNS and proxy logs for past visits, and report look-alike asset or account domains to the blocklists named above.
