PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

zerion-elite.com borrows the name of Zerion, the crypto wallet and DeFi portfolio tracker, and adds an "elite" suffix to suggest a premium or exclusive version of the service. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at Zerion users and first flagged it on 2026-10-03. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still alive, with its content reachable but behind access protection.

How the scam works

Lookalike Zerion domains usually present a convincing copy of the wallet interface or a fake upgrade, rewards or migration offer. They then push the visitor to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or type in a recovery phrase. A signed approval or a leaked seed phrase lets the operator move tokens and NFTs out of the wallet, and those transfers cannot be reversed. Currently the page answers with the title "403 Forbidden", which differs from the impersonation content we classified.

Evidence

On 2026-10-14, five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a small share, but it includes vendors that specialise in phishing and brand-abuse detection. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it independently. Among blocklists, it is currently listed by PhishDestroy.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-01-26 through DYNADOT LLC, roughly eight months before PhishDestroy detected it. A long gap like this often means a domain was held in reserve before being put to use. It resolves to an address on the Aquiryn LLC network in the United States. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock icon, which says nothing about whether the operator is legitimate.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to zerion-elite.com, use a token-approval checker to revoke any permissions you granted and watch the wallet for unexpected transfers. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat the wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a newly created wallet right away. Only access Zerion through its official app or a bookmarked address you typed yourself. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting address at DNS and proxy level, and watch for other Zerion lookalikes that use marketing-style suffixes.
