xuraro-zurela-france.com presented itself as "Xuraro Zurela 2026", a French-language trading platform promising real-time market data. The "-france" suffix and French page title show it was built for French-speaking visitors looking for an online investment or crypto trading service. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. The site has been offline since 2026-09-21, its content is blocked by the provider, and it was still down at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Pages like this use a branded trading name and the promise of live market data to look like a legitimate platform. Visitors are usually asked to leave a name, email and phone number. That opens the door to calls from so-called account managers, who push a first deposit and then larger ones while a dashboard shows invented profits. When the victim tries to withdraw, new "taxes", "verification" or "release fees" appear, and the money never comes back. Victims lose their deposits and often their contact and identity details, which are then reused for follow-up "recovery" scams.
Evidence
When VirusTotal checked the domain on 2026-09-21, 15 of 89 engines flagged it. Those engines included BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. That is a solid spread of independent vendors for a site that was only days old in our tracking. The domain appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers had also linked it to malicious activity. Besides the PhishDestroy blocklist, no other blocklists list it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-07-28, about seven weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests time spent building the site or warming up traffic before it drew attention. It sat behind Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocating to Canada. This means the real origin server was hidden from public view. The site went dark within two days of our first detection.
What to do
If you deposited money with "Xuraro Zurela", stop all further payments. Ignore any demand for withdrawal, tax or unlock fees, and report the transfers to your bank or card issuer right away to request a chargeback or recall. If you shared your phone number or ID documents, expect follow-up calls offering to recover your funds, and treat them as part of the same scam. File a report with your national fraud authority, such as Signal Conso or Pharos in France. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike "Xuraro Zurela" domains with other country suffixes.
