www-monad.co is a phishing page that impersonates Monad. It targets crypto users who follow the project and expect airdrops, launches or app access. The hyphenated name mimics a familiar web address, so it can pass at a glance in a link or search result. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27. The site has been offline since 2026-10-18, and when we checked on 2026-10-19 its content was blocked by the provider.
How the scam works
The page used the title "Monad | Enabling Open Access to Financial Markets" to look like a genuine project front page. Monad-themed phishing usually pushes visitors to connect a wallet to claim tokens or reach an app. The visitor is then asked to sign transactions or approvals that hand control of their assets to the operator. Victims typically lose whatever the signed permissions cover, often the wallet's tokens and NFTs, and these transfers cannot be reversed.
Evidence
Nine of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-07. They include crypto specialist ChainPatrol plus alphaMountain.ai, Ermes, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Seclookup and SOCRadar. MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL all list it alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users were warned from several sides. Spamhaus DBL lists it as a phishing domain, and it appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-25, just two days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap fits a disposable domain set up for a quick campaign. Traffic ran through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address placed in Canada, which hides the real origin server. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gave the page a padlock, which says nothing about whether a site is legitimate.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to this site, check its token approvals in a reputable revocation tool and revoke any you don't recognize. Move remaining funds to a new wallet if you signed anything unusual. Never enter a seed phrase on any site; if you did, treat that wallet as compromised and empty it right away. Reach Monad only through links from its verified official channels. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, look for look-alike hyphenated domains impersonating Monad, and check logs for past visits.
