wobiqeu.pro is an impersonation phishing site aimed at crypto users who believe they are dealing with a service they already trust. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. It has been offline since 2026-09-21, with its content blocked by the provider, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19. The page carried only the bland title "Home - wobiqeu.pro" and named no brand, while we classified the site as impersonation.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a real platform. Victims usually arrive through ads, direct messages or search results, and nothing on the page tells them they are in the wrong place. Once there, they are asked to sign in, verify an account, or enter a recovery phrase or private key to "restore" access. Anything typed into the page goes straight to the operators, who can then take over the account or empty the wallet behind it. A throwaway domain name with a generic "Home" title is cheap to set up and cheap to abandon after it gets reported.
Evidence
On 2026-09-21, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The detections came from several independent vendors, including Kaspersky, ESET, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft and alphaMountain.ai, so the verdict does not depend on a single source. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers tracked it separately. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy currently lists it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2026-04-09, about five months before we detected it. That gap suggests the domain was held in reserve or used quietly before this campaign surfaced. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gave it the browser padlock, but that only means the connection was encrypted, not that the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it on the real service right away, along with any account that reuses it, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet and move any remaining funds to it immediately. Watch for follow-up messages offering "recovery help", because these are a common second-stage scam. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search their logs for visits from 2026-09-19 onward.
