How the scam works
Fake 'v2' sites tell visitors that a service has migrated and that they must reconnect, migrate funds or claim something on the new version. When last served, the page showed the title '502 — Site temporarily unavailable', an error screen rather than a branded page, while our classification remains impersonation phishing.
Evidence
VirusTotal shows 6 of 89 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-09-21: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Sophos. Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-07 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu, about five weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain bought specifically for a campaign and put into use shortly afterward. It was hosted on the Omegatech LTD network in the United Kingdom. It went dark only eleven days after first detection, a short lifespan typical of disposable phishing domains.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to v2-rhino.io, use a revocation tool to review and revoke any token approvals or permissions you granted there. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed in a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer assets immediately to a new one created from a new seed.
