How the scam works
Sites like this present themselves as a USDC platform, often offering rewards, staking or a claim. The visitor is then pushed to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, send a deposit or type in a recovery phrase. Any of those steps can hand stablecoins and other tokens to the operator, and the transfers cannot be reversed. The page title reads "Thuis", Dutch for "Home", which names no brand and does not match the USDC theme in the domain.
Evidence
Independent detection is thin. On 2026-10-13, VirusTotal showed 2 of 92 engines flagging the domain, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and LevelBlue. The domain also appears in 5 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. Among blocklists, it is listed only by PhishDestroy, so most browsers and wallets would not have warned visitors while it was live.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2025-12-29 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., about nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. Keeping a domain idle for months before using it can help it slip past filters that distrust newly registered names. It resolves through Cloudflare (188.114.96.3, located in CA), which hides the real origin server. Its Google Trust Services certificate shows that the padlock icon proved nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to usdc069.com, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances you granted it. Move your funds to a new wallet if you entered a seed phrase or signed anything you did not understand. If you sent a deposit or paid a "fee" to unlock a reward, do not send more.
