usdc039.com is an impersonation phishing site whose domain borrows the USDC stablecoin name, with a numeric suffix that makes it look like one of a series. It targets crypto users who hold or trade USDC and might trust a page that appears tied to the token. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14, and its content was blocked at the provider level as of 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Pages that pose as a stablecoin brand usually promise USDC rewards, airdrops, staking yields or a convenient swap. They then ask the visitor to connect a wallet and sign transactions, or to deposit funds into an account they cannot withdraw from. A signed token approval lets the operator move the victim's USDC and other tokens later without asking again. The browser tab read "onkeyon", a label with no visible connection to USDC, while we classified the domain as brand impersonation.
Evidence
Independent detection is thin. On 2026-10-13, VirusTotal showed only Forcepoint ThreatSeeker flagging the domain, one engine out of 92. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it. Four AlienVault OTX community pulses reference the domain, so other researchers have tracked it as well. With so little vendor coverage, many browsers and wallet extensions would not have warned visitors while the site was live.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-29, more than nine months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was registered in advance and kept unused until a campaign needed it. It sat behind Cloudflare's network on a Canadian-located edge address, which hides the real origin server. Its Google Trust Services certificate is the standard one issued for sites on that network and says little about the operator.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances you granted while there, especially for USDC. Then move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you entered a seed phrase or private key. Do not send further "unlock" or "verification" payments to recover funds that appear stuck. Record your transaction hashes and report the theft to your wallet provider and local authorities. Defenders should block the domain and watch for sibling names that use a "usdc" prefix with a number, since this naming pattern points to a series of similar sites.
