tronllink.pages.dev posed as TronLink, the popular browser and mobile wallet for the TRON network, under the page title "TronLink | Home". The doubled "l" in the subdomain is a typosquat meant to slip past users who glance at the address bar or click a search ad. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-28. The site has been offline since 2026-09-07 and was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page copied the look of TronLink's official homepage to pass as the real wallet. Fake wallet sites like this usually push visitors to "restore", "verify" or "sync" their wallet by typing in a recovery phrase or private key. Some also prompt a wallet connection and a signature that hands token permissions to the attacker. Either way, the victim loses control of the TRX and TRC-20 tokens in that wallet, and stolen funds are typically swept within minutes.
Evidence
Independent detection was thin. When VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-09-08, only 3 of 89 engines flagged it: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and VIPRE. Most security tools would therefore have let visitors through during its active window. Wallet-focused blocklists did catch it, and it is listed by MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy.
Infrastructure
The site ran as a free Cloudflare Pages project created on 2026-08-17, eleven days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap matches the disposable, quick-to-deploy setup common to wallet impersonators. It was served from Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada. Because it lived on a shared platform subdomain, it could not be judged by domain age or registrar reputation the way a standalone domain could.
What to do
If you typed a recovery phrase or private key into this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on the genuine TronLink app and move any remaining assets immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals on TRON using a trusted approval checker or TronScan. Only install TronLink from its official site or your browser's and phone's official stores.
