Overview

tor.blacksprut.org is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Blacksprut name. The "tor." prefix is meant to pass it off as an official gateway or mirror to the marketplace's Tor site. Its targets are people who search for a working Blacksprut link on the open web instead of reaching the service directly. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. It was still online on 2026-10-19 and redirecting visitors onward.

How the scam works

Fake mirrors of this kind sit between the user and the real service. Some show a cloned login screen, others hand visitors off through redirects. Anything typed in, such as usernames, passwords and recovery phrases, goes to the operator, who can then take over the account. Users who are shown a deposit address and top up a balance send their cryptocurrency straight to the scammer. Those payments cannot be reversed or recovered. Because this domain redirects, the page a visitor finally lands on may not be the same each time.

Evidence

Detection by other vendors is still thin. When VirusTotal last scanned the domain on 2026-09-29, 3 of 91 engines flagged it: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and SOCRadar. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist carrying it. Most browsers and security tools will therefore let it load without a warning, so a clean result elsewhere should not be read as a sign it is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Virtualia LLC on 2026-09-24, one day before PhishDestroy detected it. A domain that goes live this quickly fits throwaway lookalike sites built to catch search traffic before they get blocked. It is hosted on Hetzner Online GmbH servers in Germany. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock in the browser proves nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you entered a username, password or any recovery details here, change them at once on the genuine service. Turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered, and do not reuse those credentials anywhere else. Treat any cryptocurrency sent to an address this site showed you as lost. Do not send further "verification" or "unlock" payments to anyone who promises to get it back. Bookmark trusted access routes instead of relying on search results. Defenders should block the domain and its redirect destinations, and send reports to the hosting provider and registrar to speed up takedown.
