sunburst-axle.com is an impersonation phishing site. It presents itself as a legitimate service so that visitors trust it with information or money they would only give the real one. How the scam works
Impersonation pages borrow the look, wording and branding of a known service and reach victims through links in messages, ads or search results. The visitor believes they are on the genuine site and is asked to sign in, verify an account, submit personal details or make a payment. Whatever is typed goes straight to the operators. Stolen passwords and one-time codes let them take over the real account, and any payment made on the page is simply gone. On 2026-09-29, 17 of 91 VirusTotal engines classed the domain as malicious. Among them were ADMINUSLabs, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Fortinet. That is a broad spread of commercial vendors and community phishing trackers reaching the same verdict independently. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, showing other researchers have tracked it. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2025-10-28, almost eleven months before it was caught. Holding a domain that long before using it is a common way to avoid filters that distrust newly created names. It resolves to 104.21.33.23 on Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocating to Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a reverse proxy, the server actually hosting the page stays hidden behind it. The site uses a valid certificate from Google Trust Services, so the browser padlock shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password here, change it immediately on the real service and on any other account that shares it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and sign out of all active sessions.
