sparehit.com presents itself as SpareHit, an online shop for car accessories, parts and care products. Its Polish-language page title, "Akcesoria samochodowe | Części i pielęgnacja | SpareHit", shows it is aimed at shoppers in Poland. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-27 and classifies it as an impersonation phishing page. The page title shows an ordinary branded auto-parts store, but our classification is impersonation. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and redirecting visitors.
How the scam works
Fake storefronts copy a known retailer's name, catalogue and checkout so that a search result or ad leads buyers to a shop they believe they can trust. The victim picks car parts, then enters a delivery address, phone number and card or bank details at checkout. The money goes to the operators, and the goods either never arrive or arrive as something else. The payment and identity data captured at checkout can later be reused for fraud or follow-up phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-01, 11 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and Lionic. That is a minority of engines, but it is a spread of independent vendors that reached the same verdict. Four AlienVault OTX pulses also reference the domain, so other researchers are tracking it. Among blocklists, it appears on PhishDestroy's.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-05-19 through Spaceship, Inc., about four months before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap like that is long enough to build up a plausible-looking shop before it draws attention. The site sits behind Cloudflare (IP geolocated to Canada), which hides the real origin server from visitors. It uses a standard Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
What to do
If you paid for an order on this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away to dispute the charge and ask about blocking or reissuing the card. Watch your statements for further unauthorised transactions. If you created an account, change that password everywhere you reused it. Treat any calls or emails that mention your order as possible follow-up fraud. Defenders and payment teams should block the domain, flag merchant transactions linked to it, and warn Polish-speaking customers about lookalike auto-parts shops using the SpareHit name.
