sourcecz.com was an impersonation phishing page presenting itself under the name SOURCE. Its listing on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists shows it was aimed at cryptocurrency and wallet users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-15. The site has been offline since 2026-09-28 and was still unreachable on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page carried the bare title SOURCE, posing as a legitimate service so visitors would treat it as the official site. Impersonation pages of this kind copy a brand's look and then push the visitor toward a sensitive action, such as typing in a seed phrase or login, or connecting a wallet and signing a request. Whatever is entered or signed goes straight to the operators. A leaked recovery phrase hands over the whole wallet, and a malicious signature can authorize transfers out of it.
Evidence
On 2026-09-23, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The flagging vendors included alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Google Safe Browsing. Google Safe Browsing classifies it as SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, its category for deceptive pages that trick users into giving up data. MetaMask and SEAL both list it, alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet-focused defenders independently reached the same verdict. Three AlienVault OTX pulses also reference the domain.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-02-15 through Cloudflare, Inc., about seven months before PhishDestroy detected it. A gap that long suggests the name was registered early and held until it was needed. The site resolved to 188.114.97.3 on Cloudflare's network, geolocated to CA. Because that is a shared proxy address, it hides the real origin server rather than revealing it.
What to do
If you entered a seed phrase or private key on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a trusted device and move any remaining funds immediately. If you connected a wallet and signed anything, review and revoke token approvals and permissions granted around the time of your visit. Any reused password you typed there should be changed, with 2FA enabled on that account. Defenders should block sourcecz.com at DNS and proxy level, search logs for visits after 2026-02-15, and warn users who reached it.
