PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

solid-ledger.com is an impersonation phishing page that uses the Ledger brand to target owners of Ledger hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-10. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content. The page title reads "First Avenue Advisors", which does not match the Ledger impersonation we classified.

How the scam works

Ledger lookalike sites usually tell visitors that their device needs an urgent firmware update, security check or wallet sync. The visitor is then asked to type in the 24-word recovery phrase or connect a wallet. A recovery phrase entered on a web page gives the operators full control of every account derived from it. They can empty the wallet from their own device, and the hardware wallet offers no protection once the seed is exposed. Ledger never asks for a recovery phrase online, so any page that does is fraudulent.

Evidence

Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-16: CRDF, Ermes, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but it includes several established vendors. The domain is also listed on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses. Taken together, these are independent confirmations from separate research teams.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through DYNADOT LLC on 2026-10-06, only four days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap fits a site built for a quick campaign. It is hosted on Amazon's US cloud network. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered your recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new seed on a reset or new device and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-management tool and watch for unexpected transactions. Get firmware and updates only through Ledger's official desktop or mobile app. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar Ledger-themed registrations.
