site-maple-ledger-5bd5.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page that uses the Ledger name to lure crypto wallet users. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-06. The page title advertised a "PONS Ecosystem Airdrop · Robinhood Chain", and urlscan.io matched the content to Robinhood branding, while our classification is Ledger impersonation. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16 and was still unreachable on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake airdrop pages like this one promise free tokens to anyone who claims them. The visitor is asked to connect a wallet, sign a transaction or "verify" ownership. Pages that borrow Ledger's name often go further and ask for the 24-word recovery phrase, which gives the attacker full control of every account behind that seed. Approving a malicious contract or signature can also let the operator drain tokens without any further action from the victim.
Evidence
Seven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site when it was checked on 2026-09-17: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Fortinet, G-Data, Google Safe Browsing, LevelBlue and Sophos. Google Safe Browsing listed it as SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, so Chrome, Firefox and Safari users were shown a warning page. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict, and the domain is on the PhishDestroy blocklist. That is a modest share of engines, but the vendors that did flag it independently agree on phishing.
Infrastructure
The page sat on a free, randomly suffixed Cloudflare Pages project subdomain. Throwaway hosting like this lets an operator launch a campaign within minutes and abandon it just as quickly. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. The site went dark about ten days after we first saw it, a short lifespan that is typical of disposable airdrop lures. Its automatically issued certificate from WE1 means the browser padlock said nothing about whether the site was legitimate.
What to do
If you typed a recovery phrase into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new seed on your device and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you only connected a wallet or signed something, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval checker, and check for transfers you did not make. Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase online, and real airdrops do not require one. Defenders should block the domain and the wider pattern of airdrop lures on free Pages subdomains, and report new variants to PhishDestroy and Cloudflare.
