PhishDestroy threat report
seting.my is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as "SelectWallet :: Home", a wallet-picker screen aimed at cryptocurrency users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14, and as of 2026-10-19 its domain no longer resolves in DNS.
A "SelectWallet" home page copies the familiar step where a crypto site asks you to choose and connect your wallet. On impersonation pages of this kind, picking a wallet usually leads to a fake connection flow that asks for your recovery phrase or private key, or pushes a malicious approval or signature request. Either one hands the attacker control of the wallet, and assets can be moved out with no way to reverse the transfers.
On 2026-10-11, five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a low count, so most security products would not have warned a visitor during the week the page was live. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist carrying it so far. The five independent detections, from separate threat-intelligence and URL-filtering sources, still support the impersonation classification.
The domain was registered through Dynadot, LLC on 2026-08-27, about six weeks before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits a domain bought ahead of time and kept quiet until the campaign started. It was hosted at 67.217.62.49 on Interserver, Inc. (AS19318) in the United States. Its padlock came from a free Let's Encrypt certificate, which shows only that the connection was encrypted and says nothing about whether the site was legitimate. The look-alike name "seting" on a .my domain resembles a generic settings or setup page rather than any real wallet provider.
If you entered a recovery phrase or private key on seting.my, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a trusted device and move any remaining funds to it right away. If you only connected a wallet or signed a request, review and revoke token approvals with a reputable approval-checker and watch for unexpected outgoing transactions. Legitimate wallet providers never ask for your seed phrase on a website. Defenders should block seting.my and 67.217.62.49 and search proxy and DNS logs from 2026-10-07 onward for users who reached it.
