sb-buyit.com is an impersonation phishing site that posed as a legitimate service to collect credentials, payment details or other personal data from the people it lured in. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-18. It went offline the next day, 2026-09-19, and on 2026-10-19 its DNS still did not resolve. The page title reads "404 Not Found", while our classification is impersonation phishing.
How the scam works
Impersonation sites copy the name, layout and tone of a trusted brand so that a visitor arriving from an ad, email, text message or chat link believes they are on the real site. The victim is then asked to sign in, verify an account, complete a purchase or pay a small fee. Whatever they type goes straight to the operators. Stolen logins are used to take over accounts, and card or bank details are used for fraudulent charges or resold.
Evidence
On 2026-09-19, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious. The vendors that flagged it include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That is a meaningful spread of independent engines agreeing within a day of our detection. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through NameCheap, Inc. on 2022-08-14, roughly four years before it surfaced as a phishing page. An older domain carries more trust than a fresh one, and this one may have been dormant or repurposed before the campaign began. It was hosted on Namecheap, Inc. network space in the United States at 104.219.250.37, with a TLS certificate issued by YR2.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately, along with the password on any other account that reuses it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or bank details, call your bank to block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. Expect follow-up phishing that uses whatever you shared, and treat unexpected messages claiming to be from the impersonated service with suspicion.
