sable-well.com is an impersonation phishing site: it presents itself as a service it is not, so that visitors trust it with information or money they would only give the real one. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-16. As of 2026-10-19 the domain still resolves and the phishing content is live, so anyone who lands on it today sees a working page.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the branding, layout and wording of a legitimate platform closely enough that a hurried visitor does not notice the difference. Visitors usually arrive through a lookalike link in search ads, social media replies or direct messages. They are then asked to log in, verify an account, enter a recovery phrase or send funds. Whatever is typed or sent goes straight to the operators, who can then take over accounts or empty wallets that the victim believed were being accessed through the genuine service.
Evidence
Our classification has independent support. A VirusTotal scan on 2026-09-29 returned 17 malicious verdicts out of 91 engines. The flagging vendors include ESET, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it. Among public blocklists, only PhishDestroy lists it so far, so many browsers and filters may still let it through.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-01-02, more than eight months before we detected it. That gap suggests it was set up in advance and kept in reserve rather than launched immediately. It sits behind Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada, which hides the actual origin server from view. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services (WE1), so the browser padlock only confirms an encrypted connection and says nothing about whether the site is honest.
What to do
If you entered a password on sable-well.com, change it on the real service and on any account that shares it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a newly created wallet immediately. If you sent funds, report the transfer to the genuine platform's support and to your local authorities. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the mail gateway, and search logs for users who visited it after 2026-09-16.
