Overview

rustgrade.me presents itself as a Russian-language skin service. Its page title, "Rustgrade — Апгрейд предметов Rust.", translates to "upgrade of Rust items," and it is aimed at players of the survival game Rust who trade and gamble cosmetic items. "Upgrade" sites invite players to stake an item for a chance at a more valuable one. Players typically sign in through a gaming platform or deposit skins from their inventory to take part. Impersonation pages copy this format to harvest account logins, or to push trade or deposit steps that move a player's items to the operators. Victims typically lose the account itself, the skins in it, and any balance tied to it. The title advertises a legitimate-looking upgrade service, while our classification treats the site as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Independent coverage is thin. On 2026-10-16, only Forcepoint ThreatSeeker flagged the domain, out of 92 VirusTotal engines.
