How the scam works
Fake launchpads copy the look and flow of real token-creation services. They offer to mint a memecoin, add liquidity or list it with a few clicks. The visitor is asked to connect a wallet and approve what looks like a routine creation or service fee. In schemes like this, the transaction or signature actually hands the operator control over tokens or sends the wallet's balance to the attacker. The "rugpull" label in the hostname fits the theme the page is selling. Victims lose whatever the signed transaction can reach, and on-chain transfers cannot be reversed.
Evidence
VirusTotal shows 11 of 91 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-10-02. That is a meaningful share for a page this new. The vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky, Lionic and Seclookup. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL under the phishing category, which mail and network filters use to block it. It is also on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-12 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED, just 15 days before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap is typical of disposable scam domains set up for a single campaign.
