PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

route-pool-h0i6.coin-base-exchange.com is a phishing page that impersonates the Coinbase exchange and targets Coinbase customers. The page presents itself under the title "COINBASE-EXCHANGE", and the parent domain uses a hyphenated spelling of the brand to look official. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-15. As of 2026-10-19 the domain still resolves, but its page content was unreachable.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the look and wording of a trusted exchange so visitors believe they are on the real Coinbase site. Victims usually arrive through links in ads, messages or fake support chats. They are then asked to sign in, enter one-time codes or provide recovery details. Anything typed in goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over the account, change security settings and withdraw funds before the owner notices. The long, random-looking subdomain is typical of disposable phishing hosts that can be rotated quickly.
