Overview

roobet-ca.org presents itself as "Roobet™ Canada | Online Crypto Casino & Fast Payouts 🎰". It borrows the name of the well-known Roobet crypto casino and adds a Canadian angle to reach players in that market. PhishDestroy classifies it as a fraudulent gambling site built on the Gambler Scam kit and first detected it on 2026-09-19. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its casino content.

How the scam works

Gambler Scam sites copy the look of a real crypto casino and promise fast payouts to win trust. Victims register and deposit cryptocurrency, and their balance often appears to grow through bonuses or early wins. When they try to cash out, the site blocks the withdrawal or demands "verification", "tax" or unlock fees first. Anyone who pays those fees loses that money too. Because crypto transfers cannot be reversed, every deposit and every fee sent to this site should be treated as lost.

Evidence

Wallet-security lists back the classification. MetaMask and SEAL both block the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so many wallet users are already warned before they reach the page. VirusTotal shows 7 of 91 engines flagging it as of 2026-09-29: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-05-27, almost four months before PhishDestroy flagged it. That gap gave the operators time to attract players before blocklists caught up. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, with an address that geolocates to Canada, which matches the site's Canadian branding. Cloudflare's proxy also hides the server that actually hosts the site.

What to do

Do not deposit anything, and never pay a fee to release a withdrawal. Those fees are part of the scam and you will not get money back by paying them. If you already sent crypto, record the transaction hashes, deposit addresses and any chat logs, and report them to the exchange you sent the funds from and to local police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. If you reused a password when registering, change it everywhere else you use it. Be wary of "recovery" services that contact you after the loss. Security teams should block roobet-ca.org at DNS and proxy level and watch for similar Roobet lookalike domains.
