PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

regiusftb.com is an impersonation phishing site built to look like a banking portal. Scanners matched it to a generic banking template rather than one named institution. It targets bank customers who can be lured into entering login details. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-14. The site has been offline since 2026-09-20, and on 2026-10-19 its domain no longer resolved in DNS.

How the scam works

Bank impersonation pages copy the look of a familiar login screen. Victims usually arrive through a text message, email or ad warning about a blocked account or suspicious payment. Anything typed into the form goes straight to the operators. That can include the username, password, one-time codes and card or identity details, which are then used to log in, move money or open further fraud. When last loaded, the page returned the title "406 Not Acceptable", a server error rather than banking content, even though we classify the site as a banking impersonation page.

Evidence

On 2026-09-17, VirusTotal showed 7 of 89 engines flagging the domain. The vendors were alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but the vendors are independent of each other and several focus specifically on phishing. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified the generic banking template. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2024-06-28, more than two years before it was caught. A long-held or aged domain can slip past filters that distrust newly registered names. It was hosted at 198.251.84.200 on the FranTech Solutions network in Luxembourg. Its lifespan after detection was short: it went dark six days after we first saw it.

What to do

If you entered banking details on this site, call your bank using the number on your card and report the compromise. Change your online banking password and any account that shares it. Re-enrol two-factor authentication and review recent transactions and payees for anything you did not authorise. If you shared card numbers or identity documents, ask for a replacement card and watch for loan or account applications in your name. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP, and search mail and proxy logs for earlier visits. Users who reached it may have handed over credentials before it went offline.
