PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

rainbitgapp.com is a phishing site built to pass as a legitimate crypto service, so visitors trust it with their wallet or account. Its name is a jumbled, app-style string meant to look like an official download or login portal at a glance. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-14. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving live content.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages copy the look of a known wallet or exchange and then ask for something only the real service should get. That might be a seed phrase, a login and 2FA code, or a wallet connection that triggers a malicious signature or token approval. Whatever the visitor hands over lets the operators empty the wallet or take over the account, and those losses are rarely recoverable. The browser tab shows "编组 21", Chinese for "Group 21", a default layer name from a design tool, rather than any brand name, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

The strongest signal is that two crypto-focused blocklists, MetaMask's and SEAL's, list the domain alongside PhishDestroy. Wallet users on those protections should see a warning before the page loads. On VirusTotal, 6 of 92 engines flagged it as of 2026-10-18: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, so many general-purpose security tools will not block it yet. The domain also appears in 2 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-01, roughly ten months before we caught it in use. That gap suggests it was registered in advance and held until it was needed, rather than set up the day of an attack. The site sits behind Cloudflare (AS13335), with a US-based edge address, which hides the real origin server from view.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to this site, open a token-approval checker and revoke any permissions you don't recognize. Then move your remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you typed a seed phrase or private key anywhere on the page, treat that wallet as lost and transfer everything out at once. If you entered exchange credentials, change your password and reset 2FA from the real site, then review recent withdrawals and API keys. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, add it to mail and chat filters, and report it to Cloudflare and Gname.com for takedown.
