How the scam works
The page title, "Get a $750 Target Gift Card Today | Gift Card Finds," is the hook: a large, retailer-branded reward that seems to need only a few clicks. Fake gift card promotions like this usually walk the victim through a short survey or "eligibility check," then ask for a name, address, email, phone number and sometimes card details to "claim" or "ship" the reward. The gift card never arrives. Victims lose personal data that is resold or used for further phishing, and anyone who enters payment details can face unwanted charges or recurring subscriptions. The redirect lets operators push visitors through a chain of offer pages they control.
Evidence
